What a great couple to photograph! I had such a good time with Amelia and Eugene. They really are perfect together and you only need to look at the pictures to see it for yourself. This is the kind of wedding that makes me happy about what I do. Amelia is so beautiful without even trying. Eugene is just an awesome guy.
The day started out early at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose where Amelia and Eugene were getting ready. My assistant Sarah and I arrived at 10am and started to photograph her bridesmaids. Amelia showed up later and I went back and fourths between her and Eugene. Poor Suzy had to miss the wedding because of a little accident in the morning.
Afterwards we drove up to Cinnabar Hills Golf Club for the wedding party portraits and the beautiful ceremony outdoors.
Because we shot the portraits before the ceremony begun, Amelia did a ‘grand reveal’ of her in her wedding dress to Eugene. I have shot these reveal moments in the past, but never has the groom done a 360 on his bride before. Such a tender moment!
One of Amelia’s closest friend served as the officiant for their wedding. She had gotten her certificate just to officiate her friend’s wedding. It was fun to see how thorough she was, making sure everything was done just right.
The reception was held at the same place. It was extremely beautiful and everyone had alot of fun.
As the sun was setting, I pulled the couple out onto the golf course for a few pictures as the sun went down.
