I had met Emily through through Tanya and Paul, who’s wedding I photographed last February. She and and Chris met over 7 years ago at work and have been together ever since. I had the pleasure of shooting their beautiful wedding this weekend. I even got to hang out with Chris and the groomsmen at the end of the night for a few drinks and a dance!

The day began at The Inn at Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz with Emily getting ready with her bridesmaids in one room. Chris and his groomsmen were in a room on the other side of the building.
Emily’s proud Mom got her dress directly from the designer. As soon as Emily put the dress on in the shop, the designer was brought to tears with how beautiful it looked on her.
Her bridesmaid dresses were from David’s Bridal. I have to say, they all looked radiant!
Once we arrived at The Hollins House Country Club where the ceremony and reception were to take place, I took Chris and the guys off to take a few shots. They were such a fun group of guys and were up for any ideas I threw at them.
Chris and his brother TJ got matching tattoos for their Grandpa.
Emily had a little ladybug broach attached to her garter, which was her “something borrowed”. Later in the day, her bridesmaid Samantha spotted this little ladybug on a leaf. We couldn’t resist taking it to Emily to get this shot!
A quick toast before the ceremony started!
The garden looked beautiful in the summer sunshine as the bridal party entered and the ceremony began.
Once everyone had gone into the garden area, I stole Chris and Emily for a few couples shots.
After the speeches, dinner, and drinks, the couple had their first dance outside in the setting sun.
Emily and her Father danced to ‘I Loved Her First’. Chris and his mother danced to ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.
After the dances, everyone ventured inside for the cake cutting, the throwing of the bouquet, the garter toss, and more dancing!
