I had a fun photoshoot with a few friends. The theme was sexy vampires with a victim or two. We headed out to the woods with a few costumes, props, and a box of cupcakes they had brought for my birthday. We started the shoot at dusk and shot well until almost 10pm. I wanted to see how well the Fuji X Pro1 would do along side my new Canon 5d Mark 3 in very low light conditions. I used a tripod for all the shots. Only natural light was used until it got really dark, then I brought out a couple of Canon 580ex to supplement the ambient light. From there on only the Canon was used because I needed to be able able to quickly adjust the settings wirelessly from the camera. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot. Adjustments were made to make it look more dramatic to fit the theme. To see which camera I used for each shot, please look at the pictures in the gallery. The camera, lens, and settings are listed.
One of my favorites for sure was the last shot, with Little Red Ridding Hood protecting the little school girl… unaware of the predators lurking in the darkness. Or was she actually bringing the vampires their a new victim? Hmmm…
